About our Church
This is a journey that started in 1981 during the graduation ceremony at Rhema Bible Training Centre, when Dr Frederick K. C. Price charged the graduating class of 1981 saying, “there are more people in Johannesburg than any of your churches can accommodate,…. so do not allow strife among yourselves and members moving between your churches. Secondly, preach to five thousand as to five, and five as to five thousands –never adjust your sermon.”
These words became important when a decision was taken, following the call of God upon our lives, that Pastor Trinity Mthiyane and Ps Linda Mthiyane returned to Esikhawini to start a church in a house with only two couples and one young person. The church was housed at H1730 in Esikhawini for about three Sundays. After that in a classroom we found in Thambolini Primary School which we occupied for three Sundays, It was like Zechariah (4:10 New King James Version (NKJV)) was written specifically for us at the time.

EFCI CHURCH MINISTRIES
The EFCI Men’s ministry is a ministry focused on men their challenges and development.
The EFCI Talitha Cumi Ministry is a ladies ministry in the church under the leadership of Senior Pastor Puleng Mthiyane as a visionary.
The EFCI couples ministry started in the early 2000s when the Bishop had a vision to impact married couples with the marriage biblical foundations.
The EFCI Single Adults ministry recognises the specific needs and challenges faced by single men and women in the society.
The EFCI Praise and Worship Ministry is formed by a team of musicians and song ministers with the primary function to lead the congregation in song during weekly services and other gatherings.
The EFCI Youth Ministry is a ministry that has a special focus to the youth development.
The REFCI Children’s Church is a ministry aimed at bringing up children and grounding them on the Word of God in their early ages.
The EFCI Teenagers Ministry is formed by the teenagers who have been graduated from the children’s church into teenager’s ministry.
The EFCI JHB as a number of ways for you to get involved. It may be through the ministries, through the outreach programs or simply through your offering.
