EFCI Discipleship Development
The purpose of the program is to introduce the new believer in Christ to the foundation teachings of the Christian Faith and take them through the journey of spiritual maturity. Matthew 28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you and, I am with you always even to the end of the age.”
We believe that it is the duty of the church to teach the new believer the foundational doctrine of the Christian faith. It is God’s will for the new believer to grow spiritually so that the believer can take his/her rightful position in Christ. For the natural baby to grow they need their family to feed and care for it. No one is born a full grown person the natural, and so it is in Christ. A new believers is born into a spiritual family that has to nurture them. This program endeavours to do just that.
This is done through different training programs in the church, such as:
- New Believers Class
- Growing Up Spiritually Class
- School of the Word Program
