Ministry
Equipping, empowering and restoring.
The EFCI Men’s ministry is a ministry focused on men their challenges and development. The ministry is aimed to equipping, empowering and restoring the dignity of both young and old men in the families, communities, in the church, as well as political and business fraternities. This ministry recognises the contribution of a man towards building a healthy and God fearing society, and therefore perceives a male figure as the sharpest weapon in bringing transformation in our society. 1 Timothy 2:8 “I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.” The ministry aims to develop a balanced young and old man who is be able to respond effectively to the family, marriage, children, societal and career related issues that are faced by men in the society.
Ladies (Talita Cumi)
Ministry
Christian women who fear God
The EFCI Talitha Cumi Ministry is a ladies ministry in the church under the leadership of Senior Pastor Puleng Mthiyane as a visionary. The name ( Talitha Cumi) is founded on
- Mark 5:38 (KJV) And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.
- 39 And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.
- 40 And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.
- 41 And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.
- 42 And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.
The vision and the mandate of this ministry is to raise and effect within the church a calibre of Christian women who fear God, who are strong, courageous and empowered to rise to the occasion of the time and be what God what them to be. The ministry aims to develop a balanced young and old woman who is full of God, who is be able to respond effectively to the family, marriage, children, societal, professional and career related issues that are faced by women during this time.
Couples Ministry
The EFCI couples ministry started in the early 2000s when the Bishop had a vision to impact married couples with the marriage biblical foundations. The ministry started with a moto “Siletha Ukuphila Emndenini” which is translated “Bringing Life Into the Family.” The mandate is to build strong Christian marriages using the Bible foundations of marriage as a Gods initiated and ordained institution. This ministry perceives the institution of marriage as a critical instrument towards building healthy and happy Christian families.
Single’s (Adults)
Ministry
Supporting spiritually, emotionally, relational and psychologically
The EFCI Single Adults ministry recognises the specific needs and challenges faced by single men and women in the society. The ministry started with the realisation that there is gap that exists in the Christian society, where more focus has been placed mostly on youth and couples and living the single men and ladies in the church not ministered to. In order to bridge that gap, this ministry was started in order to address the specific spiritual, emotional, relational and psychological challenges faced by single adults in the society.
YOUNG ADULTS
Ministry
Encourange the youth to participate in the word and the works.
The EFCI Youth Ministry is a ministry that has a special focus to the youth development. The ministry is aimed at building a well-balanced young person who is well informed and makes better decisions for their lives. The scripture in 1 Timoth 4:12 “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” It is in this youth ministry that the youth in the church is equipped, empowered and assisted concerning issues such as career choice, spiritual maturity and all other societal ills facing young people in our society. The ministry has programs and sessions that are aimed at assisting and guiding young people in their journey towards realising their Gods given purposes and self discoveries.
Sound and Video Ministry
The EFCI Sound and Visual Ministry is formed by a team sound and video engineers who glorify God by making sure to provide a professional quality sound and live streaming production during weekly services and other gatherings. This ministry also recognises the importance of excellent sound and visuals production for the in-house congregation while also engaging our remote and virtual viewers and church members into a deeper experience of the proceedings in the church during and after the gathering.
EFCI Praise and Worship Ministry
The EFCI Praise and Worship Ministry is formed by a team of musicians and song ministers with the primary function to lead the congregation in song during weekly services and other gatherings. This ministry recognises the importance of good, Christ-centered, Bible-based, Spirit-led and spirit-filled songs of worship and praise that glorifies God and draws congregation closer to God according to Psalm 100:4.
Children’s
Ministry
The REFCI Children’s Church is a ministry aimed at bringing up children and grounding them on the Word of God in their early ages. This ministry recognises the importance of good, solid and solid Christian foundation in the lives children as they grow up. Pro 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Hence, this ministry follows a well-crafted curriculum for that is well suited for the consumption of a child’s minds that is recognised and approved by a number of churches internationally. Moreover, this ministry has well suited programs and activities that have been designed to allow children to learn and understand more about the Word of God while they participate. These programs include class sessions, children’s camps, children’s rallies, children’s conferences. The activities include drama, poetry, dance and all other ministry related activities.
Teenager’s
Ministry
The EFCI Teenagers Ministry is formed by the teenagers who have been graduated from the children’s church into teenager’s ministry. This ministry recognises the importance of good, solid and solid Christian foundation in the lives children as they grow up as well as a different set of challenges they face during their adolescence stage. Thus this ministry is aimed at guiding and equipping them with tools they need as well as keeping them grounded on the Word of God during their critical stage (adolescence) of their lives. This ministry has well suited programs and activities that have been designed to teenagers to learn more and mature in the Word of God. The activities include drama, poetry, worship dance and all other ministry related activities.
